I have earlier stated that truth does not require any authority however I have gone through the gist of some of the seers. Though I am not an expert in any field, further I will dedicate some more parts to see the theories so that we can understand the basics of what we normally call life and leave it aside.
First let us look in to Knowledge in this part.
Knowledge
Valid knowledge has an object and is un-contradicted.
It has the Knower or the subject, known thing or the object and the process of knowing. Consciousness limited by the mental state is knowledge.
Knowledge has two forms - experience and recollection.
Methods of knowledge are Perception, Inference, comparison, verbal testimony, presumption & non-apprehension. We can spend many life time arguing about the meanings and interpretations of this. I will not go into details because that will defeat our whole purpose.
What does the objects in contact with the knower (mind) do they create pleasure, pain, aversion, knowledge and effort.
Effort is of three kinds’ inclination, dis-inclination and respiration (effort that sustains life). One more aspect of knowledge is illusion. Illudere in Latin means mock, deceive.
Illusion can be two fold
1) Apprehending a thing as other than what it is, like perceiving a rope as a snake.
2) Apprehending a thing as different from what it is, such as perceiving a white conch as yellow.
Perception according to Vedanta is pure consciousness.

2. Bhasa Pariccheda by Visvanatha Nyaya,Pancanana – translated by Swami Madhavananda – Advaita Ashrama.
3. Vedanta Paribhasa by Dharmaraja Adhvarindra – Translated by Swami Madhavananda – Advaita Ashrama.
4. Nyaya Sutra’s of Gautama – Mahopadyaya Ganganatha Jha – Motilal Bannarsidas.
If you are confused about the whole paragraph above remember three words
Knowledge + Experience + Effort
What does this knowledge do is experience and recollection. So we will look in to experience in our next part.
…………….To be continued.
